The Weld inspection Robot is designed for testing operation on large steel vertical structuresincluding ship and storage tank. With weld inspection as its main function, the robot can alsocarry different testing and marking modules to satisfy customized demands. Based on 2D/3Dautomatic weld tracking ability, it is able to identify the weld defect while archiving findingswith images. Front and back ultrasonic sensors are employed to ensure automatic obstacleavoidance, and battery-powered system realizes cableless operation.
